Flowey

I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Flutter Memel, who makes poses and props and is just generally all around talented. Her brand is Flowey, and you’ve seen plenty of her poses here on my blog before. I don’t credit items I use in my photos, mainly because they’re usually heavily modded but also because I’m just generally lazy. But Flowey’s poses are my go-to for natural poses, especially standing poses. She gets the hips right, which makes a world of difference in my opinion.

But she makes pretty swell seated poses, too. The chair above is from one of her collaborative projects. Flutter has a little gallery, Artelier Kreslo, that has a new chair each month, made by wonderful creators and posemakers teamed together.  CHAIRS, people. Wonderful, beautiful, can’t get enough of them, CHAIRS.

This month the chair is by Zigana, and the poses by Flowey. I never want to leave this chair, except maybe to move to a different chair. There are plenty of poses, many of them playful, all of them natural. Be sure to check out the “hiding behind the chair” pose yourself.

This round of Artelier Kreslo is over next week, I believe. To celebrate a year of being open, there are free anniversary gifts available as well, including a free copy of this print, from me! But stop by soon, as it’s coming down next week.

I realize that this post has turned into a big commercial for Flowey, but that’s okay. I see nothing wrong with giving love where love’s due. I can make a prop out of pretty much anything, I can make my own windlights and create a mood with a photo. But in Second Life the entire photo and the feeling it evokes revolves around the pose used. I cannot make my own poses (I’ve tried!). I depend upon good pose makers so that I can do what I do. And I’m so glad Flutter does what she does. You can check out her store here inworld, and she has some pretty cool photo boxes at Collabor88 this month too. And if you see her inworld, say hello. On top of all of this loverly talent it turns out she’s got a wicked sense of humor, too.
